Men's Singles Semi-finals 2010

The semi-finals were played yesterday (21/03) with a shocking set of results:

Paul Dadvar beat Gary Payne 6-3, 6-1. The game was tight for seven games (which lasted a long time), before Paul's fitness and backhand shone through. The crowd were stunned that tournament favourite Gary lost to a short wildcard.

The other semi was a lot closer with Paul Kaye beating Adrian Shakeshaft 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. At 4-4 in the 2nd set Ade was looking the slight favourite to win the match, but then Paul put out a 7 game winning streak to go into the final against Paul Dadvar.

A great day for tennis, with some wonderful play by all 4 players.
