Members of the mixed 3rd team attended the Trophy Presentation evening held at the David Lloyd Club at Heselington to collect the Rose Bowl Trophy for winning Division 10 of the IT Sports mixed league.

The evening consisted of a short introduction from David Lloyds resident professional, Marius Barnard, followed by the presentation ceremony itself, where representatives of each of the eleven league divisions collected their trophies. Captain of the third team, Ian Illingworth, collected the trophy for Appleton Roebuck in recognition of his unfaltering commitment in organising the third team.

The evening continued with a buffet supper and a "fastest serve" challenge where anyone who wished could have their serve measured via a speed gun. Beforehand each team estimated the fastest speeds for both man and lady. The fastest male serve was 89 mph and female 67 mph. The fastest Appleton serve was 76 mph. Our guess of 92 mph for the fastest male serve earned the table a bottle of red wine!
